Sorry for the delay, folks!

The long awaited photo gallery is posted! You can reach it via the link above or click here. All of the photos that I had from various sources are available there for download or to send direct to print via a few online print services.

I'd like to thank a few shutterbugs for the bulk of the photos you see in the gallery recently posted. HUGE thank you's go to Dennis Alberico who took both still photos and video all weekend and to Paul Rozman and Jim Mahoney who's photos comprise most of the rest of the gallery. Without these great guys, our weekend would be lost to history and memories. Thanks to them we have proof of a great weekend, dinks, dorks, wind, rain and all. Thanks guys!! :-)

If you have your own photos you wish to share, create and account and a folder and upload away! Please make sure you resize your pictures down so we can put more than a few photos there. If you have any issues with the problem, please don't hesitate to contact me at reza@reza-it.biz for help.

WELL...the flying times are here...

WOW!! What a day! What a turnout!

It was sunny, but definately breezy....a true test of man and machine. Lots of flights...attempts, dinks, doinks and the occasional dork...but nothing that was not repairable. I even learned today that spousal body language keeps the aircraft flying. (Thanks Vicki!) :-) We saw some owners of new kits today...hopefully we'll see those kits built and ready to fly next time around. Late in the day, Joel and Teddy braved the wind and kept things flying close enough that everyone enjoyed the "show"...at least I did! And if you didn't walk away with a prize or two, it just meant that your nose and your fingertips were too close together and you didn't pull enough chances.

Day two has come to an end...no rain, a *bit* of wind, and lotsa *nuts* sharing their tales. We all have one. Either it's how we found these crazy little things called gyros...or it's how we had to rebuild it after it did ____<fill in the blank>____ or it's the "yeah, my next project is gonna be _____" The story that is still being written for this weekend has an underlying theme running....fun, friends and flying!

To those who are on the road already or soon...Thank you for coming to Gyronuts 11 and I wish you safely home. To those who are still here for another day, we'll see you tommorrow. Have those batteries charged and blades balanced!

CAVU!

Day Two Pics Here..more to come

Today was the first day of the 11th RC Autogyro Fly-In and the weather was sunny, but breezy.  There was a good number of gyro flyers who showed up to share their latest creations.  The pits were busy with activity- sharing, charging, fueling, checking and double checking before taking to the skies.  Never was there a dull moment!

The variety of gyros shown and flown is getting larger every year.  I can't say we saw it all, but we sure did see some neat stuff!  There were plenty of PT Gyros, a great looking Kellet and, of course, a Whistler's Mother-In-Law (the heaviest bird weighing in at 10 lbs!)

Flyers came from far and near to fly these birds, share their experiences on top of renewing old friendships.  There were some new friendships forged here too.  No one will be able to easily forget the circling winds leaving us all hoping to avoid having to go for a walk in the corn.

We have two more days to fly, fix, laugh and share our stories about this maddening hobby of gyros.

From one “Nut” to another...CAVU!

See you tomorrow!

Reza
